About The Instructor

Born and raised on the Connecticut shoreline, Dilan Rojas has been singing on stages, performing in instrumental ensembles, and teaching future musicians for over 10 years. In the year 2022, he founded his own music studio to inspire confidence in other young singers and has since sent students to schools including The University of Maryland in College Park, Harvard University in Cambridge, and Marymount Manhattan in Manhattan to name a few.

Background

Dilan began his musical journey at the age of 8. Originally an instrumentalist, Dilan began on the trombone and quickly moved into the rest of the low brass, first euphonium and then tuba. It wasn’t until 13 however that Dilan first dipped his toes into learning about voice.

Dilan received guidance from esteemed mentor Ryan Driscoll early in his vocal study. Winning competitions led him to perform at incredible venues, including the Grand Ol’ Opry in Tennessee, Carnegie Hall in New York City, and the Kennedy Center in Washington D.C. to name a few. Dilan received his Bachelor of Music (BM) from the University of Maryland in College Park. While at the University, Dilan studied under decorated Professors of Voice Martha Randall and Kevin Short. Dilan has had the honor of working with other esteemed leaders in the music world including Marin Alsop, Ben Crawford, Ron Remke, Tim Janis, and Edward Maclary.

Teaching Philosophy

In order to have vocal growth or a successful vocal transition you need:
1. Confidence in yourself and your voice

2. Awareness of your voice, body, and mind

3. A consistent, strategic practice routine

4. A strong technical foundation

Outside the Studio

Outside of his musical endeavors, Dilan runs a business selling Pokemon cards as well as other Pokemon themed art, clothing, and accessories sourced from local artists and craftsmen. When he’s not performing or in the studio working with his students, you can find him baking a cake or making a new recipe in the kitchen.
